Affiliation Links
In the context of its activities, ArtCritic may implement affiliation links with commercial partners. In accordance with articles L.111.7 and D.111.7 of the French Consumer Code, ArtCritic dedicates this page to inform you about the possible existence of the affiliation links it uses:
1. What is an affiliation link?
An affiliation link is a hyperlink that you can click on, which then redirects you to a merchant partner website of ArtCritic.
2. What are the modalities for referencing, ranking, and dereferencing affiliated content, goods, or services?
ArtCritic does not conduct any such ranking in its affiliation relationships.
3. Is there a contractual relationship between the company to which the link directs and ArtCritic?
Yes, for the company to benefit from the redirection after a click on the affiliation link, it must first enter into a contract with ArtCritic.
4. Is there an equity link or remuneration to the benefit of ArtCritic when I click on this affiliation link?
There is no equity link between ArtCritic and the companies benefiting from the affiliation links. However, when you click on the link, ArtCritic receives a financial commission through the identification of an affiliation code inserted in the link. When you make a purchase after clicking on an affiliation link, you pay exactly the same amount as if you had made the same purchase by directly visiting the merchant’s website. It may happen that you benefit from an automatic discount thanks to an affiliation link, but this is not systematic.
5. What are my rights regarding the company to which the affiliation link directs?
If you are a consumer (a consumer is defined by the preliminary article of the French Consumer Code as “(…) any natural person who acts for purposes that do not fall within the scope of his commercial, industrial, artisanal or liberal activity”), you benefit from all the protective rights of the Consumer Code when you visit the website of a company benefiting from our affiliation links. The content of articles L. 221-5 and L. 221-6 of the French Consumer Code regarding the pre-contractual information obligation must be communicated to you. In all cases, no one other than the website where you make your purchase sees your personal information.
6. How can I recognize an affiliation link?
ArtCritic allows you to easily recognize an affiliation link thanks to the following specific icon: . If you see this icon next to the clickable link, it means that it is an affiliation link.
